When former NBA All-Star Jermaine O’Neal envisioned Dynamic Prep, he didn’t just want to build another basketball powerhouse. He wanted a complete environment—one that would match elite player development with elite design and atmosphere. On the education side, Dynamic Prep partnered with a specialized educational arm in Texas Sports Academy, with a result being more than mere facility upgrade—it’s a fully integrated environment designed to support elite development on and off the court.For design, that vision came to life through a partnership with D1 Design Group, creating a facility that now rivals top collegiate programs.
A True Culture Shift, Room by Room
From the moment you walk into the upgraded space, it’s clear this is not just a gym—it’s a system built on purpose, process, and performance. Every square foot was reimagined, and every room tells part of the story.
Basketball Court
Previously a generic high school gym, the court now features wall-to-wall branding and motivational messaging. The new visual identity reinforces pride and purpose. The court is no longer just a place to practice—it’s a visual anchor for the program’s mission.
Locker Room & Lounge
The transformation here is complete. Semi-functional blue metal lockers were replaced with custom-built black and red units, player nameplates, integrated storage, and sleek seating. Above it all: “Process,” “Purpose,” and “Mission” are etched into the ceiling lines—daily reminders of what it takes to succeed. Even the adjacent lounge area has been revamped to provide a modern, welcoming extension of the locker experience.
Podcast Lounge / Team Lounge (Multiple Spaces)
What were once empty, beige afterthoughts have become a vibrant, modern lounge outfitted with wood accents, branded walls, game tables, and lounge seating. This room now offers a place for athletes to relax, bond, and share their voice through podcasting, team talk, or film breakdowns.
Weight Room
This transformation is a show-stopper. What used to be a blank, echoing room that once served as a lunch room is now a state-of-the-art performance space with high-end equipment, custom flooring, turf, and brand-forward design elements.
Film Room
Gone is the outdated shell of a once functional band room. In its place: a high-impact space that merges luxury and focus. Theater-style chairs, bold graphics, and ambient lighting create a film room that commands attention and fosters learning.
Training Room
The old space was sterile and uninspiring. Now, the new training room is bold and functional, featuring Dynamic Prep and Texas Sports Academy branding alongside the motivational slogan, “Be Dynamic On and Off the Court.”
Facility-Wide Branding
From the lobby to the exit doors, the branding is cohesive, impactful, and unforgettable. Logos, slogans, and core values are embedded into the design, establishing an identity that resonates with athletes, families, and recruiters alike.
